Home, Sweet Home

School is finally over, all my exams done, and it’s time for Summer.  I’m sure soon I’ll have all kinds of wonderful exploits to put up on the Interwebs (I’m definitely trying to figure out how I can attach a strobe safely to a water bottle rocket), but for now I’m just relaxing and enjoying being home.  It’s amazingly comforting just to be able to watch TV and see the usual local commercials again, instead of the weird crap they have in Orlando (creepy asian guy screaming about appliances?  I’ll take Bay News 9 any day).  Now to go enjoy not having to wake up for school in the morning…

Camera Problems and Devilish Financial Planners

So I got my first roll of film back from my old Kodak Six-20 camera, and all the negatives are completely and utterly washed out.  I first suspected that my…less than careful…respooling of the first roll may have been to blame, but then a flashlight and a dark room revealed the true culprit: leaky bellows.  I went ahead and stuck an SB-25 in the back of it and made the shot you see below, to illustrate the problem.  All those little pinpricks of light you see at the top of the bellows, those are holes where light can get out and, of course, in, ruining my film.
