This weekend we had the day off of school for Veteran’s day Wednesday, so I came home Tuesday night, skipped Thursday and Friday, and had a nice long weekend. Tuesday Danie and I went to a friend’s birthday party/proposal, and then came home and watched a movie. Wednesday I got to sleep in, and spent the day mostly being lazy. I got some assorted foodstuffs for Danie, and made her some Annie’s mac and cheese. And I oh-so-sneakily got her a belated birthday present, since she turned 22 on Monday.
On Thursday I got up and had lunch with Danie, and we had a generally fun day. We got to go to small group again, and then karaoke at night. On Friday, Danie had to sing at a church in St. Pete, and then at a bar out on Anna Maria, so I spent most of the day driving her around to get her hair and makeup done, and then to the gigs in question (and, of course, sleeping in a good deal myself.
Saturday I got to sleep in again, and then I went over to Danie’s house and watched The Penguins of Madagascar for a while (I know, I know). We went and watched The Proposal at the Parkway theater in Sarasota, then we went to Longwood park (home of the world’s most amazing playground equipment). I took the Danie out for dinner at Mar Vista, and we finished up the night by watching Saw III (and I got to scare Danie with my jigsaw voice).
This morning I got up and headed to church, got set up to run handheld camera first service…and then found that the cable to one of our headsets had gone bad, so I had to sit out first service. We frantically hunted it down and replaced it in between services, and then we went through the usual service routine. Afterwards I went and had lunch with my grandparents, and had some fun shooting a little video of the wildlife on the golf course behind their house.
Later today I decided to photograph my cat, who’s had his food bowl in my room on my bookshelf for a while now. I got a nice little light setup going on, and then I lured him up to the shelf with treats. I got some nifty shots out of it, and then we went out to Five Guys for dinner (gotta love peanuts and fries). Then we came back, and here I am post-processing the cat photos and writing a blog entry.
