Balloon Pyramid

My girlfriend, Danielle, holding the preposterous balloon pyramid

So I’ve ventured into balloon animals with my girlfriend now.  Except making dogs, giraffes, and other four-legged, tailed, two-eared animals over and over again gets old, and the others are somewhat difficult, so Danielle and I took to making a pyramid of balloons.  The pyramid turned out more rounded than tetrahedral, but made for an amusing situation when rubbed into hair.  So, of course, I just had to set up a quick photo, as seen to the left.

Earlier we got to go to some friends’ child’s first birthday party, which turned out amusing.  Throwing frisbees and nearly decapitating children, wearing ridiculous party hats, and all that fun stuff.  And fruit platters.  Gotta love the fruit platters.

Smoke

A streetlight shining through a tree and smoke

Later we got to sit by the firepit outside, which ended up turning into another interesting photographic opportunity.  I set up a tripod and camera while a streetlight shone through a tree and and the smoke, focused as best I could, and made some shots.  “As best I could,” of course, is the operative phrase there, as focusing didn’t work so well in the dark, but it still turned out somewhat interesting.

Blogging has been a little slow lately, but with any luck I’ll be able to get some more up in the near future.  But for now, that’s all.
